A Love for Khaki.

Hello Everyone! Hope you're all doing well!
Picture
I’m roaming free in the mountains and the views are just breath taking!
We arrived and when straight to roads and markets of the area and I had no time to touch out makeup, or really just apply any makeup!
I’m wearing a khaki crochet jumper that’s nice and light and I’m wearing a faux leather jacket with it to add some color and to keep me warm! You'll notice my never ending love for khaki guys! Its just such a neutral color for my skin, and I love how the warm tones of green and brown work together - two of my favorite colors in terms of clothing!
Picture
For shoes, I wore these pretty and comfortable flats. Honestly speaking, for shoes I love New Look, intact a majority of my shoe collection is from New Look, and some are even over 5-6 years old!
They make beautiful and extremely comfortable shoes and I absolutely love these flats in particular. They work well with nearly every outfit!
Picture
The necklace I’m wearing is old and from River Island I believe. I’ve added a hair band to add more innocence to my look! Yes, I felt like a little girl in wonderland!
Picture
Having ice cream in the cold, chilly weather is the most amazing feeling!

Enjoy the view lovelies! Will write again soon!

RIP Christian Louboutin Heels

What a hectic few days! Sorry for the delay in blogging, let me begin with a bit of an update…

I’m actually not in town! I’ve come for a mini holiday with my family and relatives to a hilly and beautiful area known as Shimla! So evidently sitting and blogging is a very tough task when surrounded by family and friends, so here I am in the car preparing a few posts that I would like to share with you over the next few days! (Yes it’s time to get organized!)

Picture
Will have some trip photos up for you as soon as I can! For now, heres some horrid news (lets focus on the title of the blog now!)

Remember the beautiful Christian Louboutin’s I was wearing in my last outfit post? I was wearing them for a family lunch and they got caught in the grill of the escalator. I tried to pull them out but we were nearing the bottom of the escalators so I pulled my foot out and the heel jammed at the bottom, heel inside the moving stairs and shoe out. So I had the escalators stopped and reversed to that I could pull out my beloved shoe. It was a very, very sad moment for me, and as materialistic as that may sound, I just felt horrid for allowing this to happen to these shoes. I shouldn’t have stepped on the escalator with them on. I just felt so irresponsible that it’s hard to explain. Even though it wasn’t on purpose, it was mainly because the heel was so thin, but still.

Now it’ll take 4 months to repair the heels, the leather has been slit on the heel and there are immense scratches too.

I honestly don’t want to put up a picture of the heel because it’s so heart breaking, but if anyone would like to see what the damage was I wouldn’t mind posting a photo of the shoes.

Look after them heels ladies, and say no to escalators with stick thin heels! Danger Alert!

Bath& Body Works Foam Hand Soap

Picture
You know I use to be the type of person that never really cared about what kind of hand wash was lying next to my sink, just so long as it did the trick it was good enough for me, that changed when I found these beautiful, addictive babies.
Bath&BodyWorks 'Anti-bacterial gentle foaming hand soaps' prove to be the loveliest things that I have personally come across! I never thought washing my hands could  be so much fun?!
Once pumped, these let out a wonderful blob of foam that smells intense and delicious, whilst being extremely clean and hygienic at the same time. "Aloha Orchid" was the first one that I had tried, and it was beyond amazing. These hand washes are very long lasting too, it took me almost 4 months to have that bottle near empty.
Considering I have never before been so stunned and wowed by a hand wash, I thought i must definitely let you all know about these magic bottles of hygiene and glory so that you too can be as amazed as I am.

Ever been so stunned by product before? Tell me more in the comments section below!

Printed Top & Grey Detailing.

Hello Everyone! Hope you’re enjoying your Saturday!
Picture
Picture
I absolutely adore this printed top. The colors are beautiful, and really blend in well together. Whenever I wear this top, I like to pick out one color and coordinate it with my accessories; this time I chose Grey. The belt draws attention to the waist line yet allowing the outfit to remain subtle and simple at the same time.
Picture
I love accessorizing with bangles, and found this beautiful layered piece in Armani Exchange on my recent visit to New York. Its a beautiful statement piece, and helped me to tie the whole outfit together.

Denim & Khaki.

Going out for a casual occasion such as lunch with the girlies, can make outfit decisions quite difficult to make. Should one go bright on the colors? Or perhaps keep it subtle, but will that be too subtle? Shorts or Jeans? Tote bag or Cross Body?
Confusions! Confusions!
I personally love wearing bright colors, but on some days I just like keeping it all simple and basic. Earthy colors like greens and browns are usually my go-to colors on an everyday basis, I think they work well with my skin tone and can be pulled off in any weather condition. What do you think?
Image
For today's lunch outfit, I chose a light pair or jeans that aren't really a denim but just a really light material; probably Polyester. They're good for a sunny day as they help you to avoid getting tanned and allow your body to breathe at the same time. On top, I'm wearing a khaki top with faux leather detailing on the sleeves and pocket, which I think gives the top some edge. The loose characteristics of the top's material make it ideal to wear in this weather.
Image
To tie the look together, I'm wearing a platted, brown belt around my waist. This simple accessory helps me to complete the look. I always love paring greens and brown together, earthy colors look great together.
Keeping the whole look simple and casual, I've added my Louis Vuitton Pochette Eva bag as a cross body.
ImageImage
For Jewelry/Accessoires, I'm wearing a simple black double wrap round bracelet, my engagement ring and a silver interlocking ring. Alongside this, I'm wearing my Chanel CC logo studs, this is subtle and perfect for lunch in my opinion!
Image
For Shoes, I chose these cheetah print ballet flats that break the monotony of solid colors, and are also super comfortable to walk in! What a bonus!
What did you think of my outfit? Would you have done something differently?

Mini Makeup Haul & Review.

So you know when you go to a mall with no intention of buying any makeup? In fact, you swear to yourself that there will be no way that you'll buy any makeup because you're done with buying more, and more, and already have way more than the norm?
Well, I made myself that promise... and successfully failed at keeping it.
On my visit to the mall a week ago, I picked up a few bits and pieces and thought I should tell you what I think of them; some are surprisingly wonderful, and others are unbelievably disappointing.
Lets begin with the Foundations. I'm not usually the type to buy many foundations and wear different ones everyday, but on having heard so much about these two, I thought why not?

1. Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation - Shade 54
I never actually understood why this was called the "healthy mix" foundation, but after having smelt it, I finally understand. This actually has the most horribly strong smell of vegetables that I have ever come across... as if i'm standing in a Vegetable Market, or even worse; as if I was the vegetable market itself! Honestly, that put me offcompletely.
However if you're the kind of person that wouldn't mind a foul smell, or in fact doesn't find the smell foul to begin with, then as a foundation it's actually quite long lasting. It stays on for a good 6-8 hours and gives a natural finish that isn't too Shiny or too Matte. So the choice is yours, smell or quality?
5/10

2. Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation - Shade 300 Natural Beige
OH MY GOD! What a foundation?! Why do people not rave on about this enough?
I really don't think i've heard enough good things about this product, especially considering this could just about be my new favorite foundation! This is extremely affordable and very nicely formulated; this product goes on the skin smoothly and leaves your face with a beautiful matte texture. This foundation lasts all day and leaves my face fresh through out, as if my makeup didn't even wear off, in fact as if I have been topping up my makeup every hour or so. Honestly, since i've bought this foundation, I have had this on every single day, and it really does look amazing!
If there is anything bad to say about this product, it's that maybe if it had a pump on it, it would be more efficient, but hey! ...that won't stop me!
9/10

3. Rimmel ScandalEyes Showoff Mascara
Hmph. Where Rimell have done so well with their Foundation, they really let me down with their mascara. It's just your average mascara and does nothing scandalizing to my lashes what so ever! In fact, I wouldn't even say this was an everyday mascara for me; its probably a "wear-to-the-market-for- the-sake-of-wearing-a-mascara" kind of mascara. (YES... I OWN THOSE KIND OF MASCARAS TOO! AKA - THE REJECT PILE)
3/10

4. Rimmel Lipstick - 077 Asia
Okay, so for me, this was a win. I absolutely adore the creamy formulation of this Lipstick, and the color is just stunning! For me and my skin tone; I find that this color is PERFECT for an everyday office lip because it's not too pink, and isn't too nude either - it's just a really pretty in-between shade. It's really affordable and I definitely think I will continue to repurchase this.
9/10

5. Colorbar's Sunstone Nail Polish
I don't usually go crazy buying Nail Polishes, but this trip to the mall had some sort of a spell cast on me. This is a mango-orange shade that looks extremely pretty on the nails after 3 long coats. The formulation is extremely watery and requires a very steady hand when applying. The color doesn't remain shiny after a few hours of application, so definitely requires a top coat once dry. However, this is beautiful color for Spring/Summer and would look lovely with any outfit. Beautiful color Colorbar, but couldn't you make the formulation just a tad bit better?
5/10

6. Inglot's bright pink in 869
This beautiful color caught my eye the second I saw it, mainly because I didn't own a pink that was SO bright and eye catching - most of my pinks are light, and subtle. This only requires two coats, and in fact even one coat could do the job. The nails stay glossy for quite a while so they don't require a top coat either. It's again another beautiful spring/summer color for your nails but I'm sure I would try to make it work all year round. Will keep you updated on this stunning color!
8/10

7. Inglot's Grey in 974
This polish is a build-able color that allows you to achieve a nice charcoal grey by the third coat. The color would be good for autumn/winter but not so much for our current season.
Why I picked it up? Mmmm, not too sure? I already have 'Chinchilly' by Essie, and these two are extremely similar, but it was one of those 'spur-in-the-moment" buy's. TeeHee :P
A pretty pretty color all the same.
7/10

8. OPI's Green-wich Village
This was the biggest impulse buy of the whole day that day. I don't wear such colors, I never have. Bright and unusual colors just don't work for me. But for some reason, these days.. i just keep experimenting. Experimenting with my nails, my eyes, my hair, my clothes and even my shoes. That just isn't me... but sometimes it can work for you... inspiration - it has a funny way of popping up out of no where!
So anyway, green - well its extremely bright for my skin tone, and on having applied it on my full hand, I really think this color will only work for me when used for Nail Art or on just the one nail (ring finger). Two coats is good enough for a strong color build, but to get a slightly darker, more leafy green shade you may apply 3 coats.
6/10

9. OPI's In my back pocket
When buying this bright Orange, the only thing that crossed my mind was that it was ideal for this season. It is a brighter version of Sunstone (Colorbar), and the two could work well together! It has a wonderful formulation and just two coats of this nail paint will be enough to form a good, solid color. OPI, you may just be my new favorite brand for nail polishes.
7/10

10. OPI's Gold Shatter
Last, but most definitely not the least, the famous cracking nail polishes had me. I already have a crack nail polish in black (topshop?), but when i saw this gold and tried it out on top of my Essie 'bikini so teeny' nails, I was just gobsmacked at how subtle yet wonderful the combination looked! How was it possible for a gold to be so graceful? This for me is an excellent nail polish, and definitely should be a staple for all you Diva's out there that just want a tad bit of bling to brighten up your look. It works like a gem.
10/10

So that was my long and winded review/haul of my little, sneaky, shopping trip! Congrats to all of you who made it to the end :P And for those of you scrolling down to the bottom and taking a quick peak at the images; my hands aren't really as dark as they seem! Its silly old lighting :P
Thank you ALL for your time, and do tell me if there are any products that you recommend for me to use, I would love to give them a try!

Chanel's Timeless Elegance.

Believe me when I say, that it's not just your Shoes or your Clothes that set an image. A scent can say a lot about a woman and can add greatly to your personality.

Sometimes, you need that little something to make you feel that extra bit special. Sometimes you can't always spray a perfume because its just so special. There's something so unique about the Chanel No.5 that every time I reach for it I know this the occaision is definitely not the norm.

The bottle you see in the photo above is one that I picked up in March. We're now in mid-June and you can see that I haven't used much, but that's because I just think its way too special to spray on a regular. I just want to hug it in bed at times!

What is Chanel No.5 for me? Well it's this Royal scent that makes me feel powerful, classic and chic! Because Chanel is known for both it's quality and superiority, this perfume lets me feel just that! And I don't even think that this should be classified as a scent for a particular age group, it lets you be that person that you see in the movies, it lets you rewind back to those black and white movies! Speaking of Black and white, did you know that this was the only perfume Marylin Manroe wore to bed?

You know I never really had a desperation to own this perfume... but then I read Nina Garcia's "100 THINGS", and in that it spoke about how every woman must own this perfume, so I though why not?!
Now I realize, It's like a staple for any woman's wardrobe because when I wear this perfume, I feel powerful and strong, I feel like I have an amazing personality and that I am and can be someone special. It's just a boost of confidence!

Try it out, how does it make you feel?

Monday 17 June 2013

Today has been one of those crazy days where I have done everything in my reach to try and find the perfect things to say in my very first blog post for my very first blog. But it's just not easy. It's not easy to plan inspiration, and it definitely won't pop out at you when you want it to the most.
So what did I do? And what am I going to say?
Well, I went through dozens of blogs and read bits and pieces of a massive book on Fashion, and in the end I quite literally gave up; and I thought I'd leave my post to do tomorrow. But here I am, typing away, only to find that inspiration comes from within and around - both. I'm a believer, I believe that things just happen when they're suppose to, and I believe that till then I can be who I want to be. Fashion gives me that freedom. Today I'll be Katy Perry and tomorrow i'll be Princess Diana, but its all about the inspiration, the mood, the occasion, the company.
Here, I want to show you what inspires me and how it influences me. I want to show you how simple things can influence you in such dramatic yet in a minimal way. I know, Oxymoron much! But its true.
You might be in a horrid mood, but a neon pink blouse with simple white jeans could brighten up that day; it may not make your circumstances change but it most definitely will help you pick up your confidence and allow yourself to work with situations better. You can be who ever it is that you wanna be, and I want to be here to share my thoughts with you and to try and inspire you to do so!
...And its not just clothes that do it for me!
Ha! Yes! I'm one of those crazy Fashionaholics! (Even though we all know thats not even a word)
Makeup, Shoes, Hair, Fragrances, Candles, Music or even a Book or a Vase?! Anything that I find the slightest bit inspiring I want to bring it out in the e-world to you! You never know, something that helps me smile may just help you laugh.
